BA 3350 Business Communications – Business Report

Learning Goal: I’m working on a communications report and need the explanation and answer to help me learn.

Students will write an effective formal report for a business audience, not an academic journal, on a current business issue (within the six months before the due date) inclusive of the following parts: title page, table of contents, executive summary, body with at least one page with graphic/s, and appropriate referencing (APA style). The assignment is not asking for solutions or recommendations. The total length of the body is three to four pages (double spaced) not including the title page, table of contents, executive summary, and references page. All papers are expected to have no more than a 20 percent similarity match on Turnitin.

Standard College Paper Requirements

12 point font

One inch margins

Double spaced

Times New Roman or Arial font

APA style, determined by the instructor

-In-text citations for everything that is not common knowledge

– References (APA) page for all research papers.

Word processed

At least three sources for research papers to avoid bias (not a college requirement but a common sense one to reduce the chance of bias)
