Module 10: Global Strategy

This module continues the study of corporate strategy with a focus on internationalization and the design of global strategy, which has become an important management issue in recent years. This aspect of corporate strategy requires decisions over international location, digital technologies, and modes of foreign market entry. Competitive advantage drives the motivation for multinational corporate expansion, making global industry analysis even more important for strategic development. Multinational corporations (MNCs) must take advantage of digital technology and consider their global digital strategy to effectively compete in the global market (Grant, 2019). We continue the study of corporate strategy with an emphasis on diversification. By this time in the course, you should have a solid understanding of strategy planning concepts and principles and have had multiple opportunities to apply the information. The concept of diversification becomes important now as an essential feature of business adaptation. Many companies are attracted to diversification to create value, so it is important to understand the concept.

Global Strategy

For this weeks discussion identify a company founded in the KSA that has expanded internationally.

  • How did the company extend its competitive advantage from its home market to an international market? Were all of them transferable and replicable, why or why not?
  • What mode of foreign market entry did the firm adopt, why?
  • How did the resources and capabilities related to the local market knowledge, distribution, and political and business connections in the international market.


  • Discuss the concepts, principles, and theories from your textbook. Cite your textbooks and cite any other sources.
  • Write an essay that includes an introduction paragraph, the essays body, and a conclusion paragraph to address the assignments guide questions.
  • Your initial post should address all components of the question with a 600-word limit.
