Table 7: External Factor Evaluation Matrix

An external factor evaluation matrix is a tool that allows strategists and planners within an organization to summarize and make an evaluation of the external factors that play within the operation of an organization. Using the EFE tool, one can determine whether an organization is better placed to take advantage of the already existing opportunities while minimizing the external threats and hence work towards its success. The tool helps formulate strategies for success and develop relevant and effective policies to govern the organization's operation (Ben-Abdallah & Alshurideh,2022). The total score for this analysis is 2.82, implying that the school is slightly above the average of 2.5. This implies the employment of strategies and focus on threats is not fully optimized to the firm’s full potential. Efe (2018) has shown that change in schools is a combination of administrative action and identification of the right policies applied in GHO.
