Journey of my reading and writingReading and writing make a complete man. Some of us love reading novels, story books, newspapers, and so on, whereas; others love writing poems, storybooks, literature, and so on. As like I adore reading novels, story books, and writing poems too and my whole journey is about how I learned reading and writing from a course of pre-primary level to reading novels, story books, and writing poems during high school. To begin, my journey of reading and writing started from my early childhood when I was at pre-primary level in school. I started reading and writing from Nepali alphabets as Nepali language was my first language. The alphabets were new for me but learning for the first time was quite hard as well as interesting for me. My parents used to guide me and my uncle was a teacher because of that I was getting proper guidance.  One of the books called “Our English” is our national book with story and grammar which helped me a lot in the field of reading and writing as we have to read this book and do homework on a daily basis except Saturday because Saturday used to be our national holiday of the week.

When I was at high school, I wasn't fond of reading novels but I used to read story books if I found it interesting. I mostly used to spend time with my friends. I used to go to the library with my friend when I was in high school. I used to do a practice set of mathematics whereas; he used to read novels. He used to recommend me many novels but I used to ignore him. One day, I became a bit curious about novels. And I took two of the novels such as you can win and the mountain is you from the library that my friend had already completed as it was going to be a holiday for 1 month for our big festival called Dashain. When I started reading novels, I felt like every word and sentence were in my heart. It feels like I have been connected to novels since 7 -8 years ago. I love both reading and writing but my journey of reading has always been more enjoyable than writing because I used to write only certain poems according to my mood in my Nepali language but I used to read novels and story books once or twice a week. I love to read interesting novels like you can win, the mountain is you and so on. One of my favorite novels is you can win. You Can Win is written by Shiva Khera which is full of motivation and knowledge. This book contains very useful regulations for becoming successful person. It also inspires those who read this book to become good human beings. Being successful person is not only an achievement. This book helps the readers in achieving success in life and bold personalities. Whenever I used to see new novels and story books, my eyes fell for them. I enjoyed each and every word in novels as every word used to be so meaningful and deep. It felt like I was not even reading. Instead, I felt like I was having fun when I got to read interesting novels and story books. As I have my stationery shop, I used to take new books for reading. My parents used to say why to waste money on novels and story books. They just wanted me to read textbooks only but I used to ignore them and enjoy every moment of my journey of reading.

Secondly, I also love poems and subjective essays. Back in the school days, teachers used to ask us to write an essay about a particular thing and I wasn't a brilliant kid at that time. I used to wonder for a long time and still my paper used to be blank. I used to get jealous and felt like an outsider when I used to see my friends profoundly writing essays. That thing hit me hard and after that incident, it pushed me hard. I started to do research through Google and Wikipedia. Slowly, I was getting how to paraphrase the introduction part, paragraph spacing and about body structure. Then I became good at writing essays too. When I was in class 10, I participated in an inter-school essay writing competition. There were lots of students who participated in that competition. I was sure that I would write a good essay but I never cared about competition. Instead of that I was doing competition with myself as I pushed me from dumb me to brilliant one me. When the competition was over I along with all students submitted their essay. I was pretty excited about the announcement of that competition. Although I wasn't able to secure first position, I got third position which was a great achievement for myself through the journey of my writing.

To conclude, reading and writing have always been kind of fun for me. It has been an essential part of my life and I will continue it in the coming days as it has been both passion and fun for me.
