Literature Question

Please upload your thesis statement, and outline as well. Here’s the prompt for the essay:

Pay close attention to the use of color throughout The Bluest Eye. It is deliberate, and many of the colors communicate an array of ideas and emotions. Our understanding and acceptance of what certain colors symbolize are questioned throughout the novel. How do you see Morrison using color to express certain ideas? In what ways do you see Morrison challenging preconceived notions of color? What overall idea(s) do you think the author is conveying through this exploration. Don’t focus on blue, black, or white for this essay. You can mention those colors, but not as the central idea of the essay.

Use evidence from the text and at least one secondary source to clarify and strengthen your ideas.

The essay should be 5-7 pages and include a Works Cited page.
