The Ministry of Environment Water & Agriculture stated that the total amount of food waste in Saudi Arabia amounted to four million and sixty thousand tons, which is a very large number. The percentage of food waste in Saudi Arabia is estimated at 45% for raw food and 60% for cooked food. There is a need to work on an agreement between government agencies that are unable to resume production and retail stores on how to use materials.
