Draft an animal trust for Kitty Barkley, a 65 year old widow who has not remarried. She has the following animals:

  • 5 cats ranging in age from 2 to 15 years: Groucho, Harpo, Zeppo, Chico and Gummo. None are spayed or neutered, as she does not believe in subjecting her animals to unnecessary surgery, and she would like to provide for any other kittens born of these pets.
  • One 12 year old unneutered black Labrador retriever named Duke.
  • One 18 year old parrot named Captain Flint.
  • A hive of honey bees.

    • The client has a $10 million estate. Her first priority is to make sure these animals remain happy and live as long as possible on her 100 acre property. The entire estate can go to her animals.

    If she must, she will direct any remainder to Happy Paws Animal Rescue, a local charitable organization. She has a worthless son, Bob, who she wants to disinherit, and no other relatives.
