Anticonvulsants are frequently used for conditions other than seizure.
1. Fill out the attached anticonvulsant chart including non-seizure indications, if any (Epocrates will be useful for this).
2. Post to chart to Discussion Board.
3. Respond to a classmate’s post with a discussion of a non-seizure indication of one medication. Provide an article that addresses the medication’s use in the non-seizure indication.
(For example, gabapentin is often used for diabetic peripheral neuropathy pain. Find an article supporting its efficacy for this indication OR an article that provides evidence against its use and discuss the findings presented in the article.)
