Description of assignment or project: Students will visit a local Catholic Church and Mosque and write a 1 2 page reflection paper on their experience and what they learned from the visit. If you cannot attend the Catholic Church and/or Mosque visit on the assigned day, contact your instructor to arrange a separate time to visit or an alternative cultural experience.
In your reflection, consider the following:
- How does a Mosque compare to a Catholic Church? What similarities did you notice? What differences did you observe?
- What surprised you most when you visited either the Catholic Church or the Mosque?
- Why do you think it is important to learn more about the diversity of religion in Oklahoma? How does visiting a religious center you are unfamiliar with help in this regard?
- What are some highlights of your visit to the Catholic Church or the Mosque? Anything you did not like?
- What unanswered questions linger in your mind from visiting either the Catholic Church or the Mosque?
- What advice would you give to one of your peers visiting a Catholic Church or Mosque for the first time?
This paper must be double-spaced, 12-point font, Times New Roman, or Arial.
